New Release : The Broken Window by Jeffery Deaver

The newest novel by Jeffery Deaver titled The Broken Window has just been released. This is the 8th book in the Lincoln Rhyme series. Rhyme is a quadraplegic criminalist who is an expert in forensics, brillinat at examining trace evidence and, from it, solving just about any crime that is committed.

The series is one of the most popular crime series being written today and, personally, I think it is responsible for all of those CSI shows on TV.

All of the books in the series, apart from being damn fine thrillers are linked by the fact that they are completely filled with unexpected plot twists. Sometimes Deaver goes a little bit overboard, to the point where you begin to look for the unexpected angle and can predict it. The books are all excellent entertainment, though.

Links below are to some reviews of his Lincoln Rhyme books. I don't know if you've noticed but a lot of people seem to have a big problem spelling his first name correctly. It seems that people can't get past the fact that his first name is Jeffery, not Jeffrey.

The full series so far:

The Bone Collector (1997)
The Coffin Dancer (1998)
The Empty Chair (2000)
The Stone Monkey (2002)
The Vanished Man (2003)
The Twelfth Card (2005)
The Cold Moon (2006)
The Broken Window (2008)
